Human Resources Advisor (Holland) | I Built It One Piece At A Time

Summary: Responsible for employee benefit programs for organization such as life, health, dental, vision, prescription and disability insurances, FMLA and other benefit plans or programs as defined by the company. Maintain, update and develop the Human Resources computer database of employee files and reports as needed. Support UCC philosophy and standards and is personally involved in continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
BENEFITS
?Interpret Benefit Plan documents.
?Participate in the processes for compliance, analysis and maintenance of company benefits; health, dental, vision, prescription, STD, LTD, and ADD life, as well as other company sponsored benefits including Service Awards, FMLA and EAP.
?Participate in Benefit Renewal Process, including employee education.
?Responsible for benefit billing and invoice approval.
?Handle benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable and courteous resolutions.
?Prepare written and verbal information to inform employees of benefit programs, including notifying employees of changes.
?Administer Flexible Spending.
?Prepare monthly benefit reports.
?Enroll new employees in benefit plans and provide benefit orientation.
?Responsible for Open Enrollment.
?Implement, lead and manage Wellness Programs and initiatives.

POLICY AND COMPENSATION MANAGEMENT
?Assist HR Director in Compensation Management.
?Responsible for completion of policy and compensation surveys.
?Knowledge, interpretation and guidance of Employee Handbook policies.
?Responsible for development and updating of Position Descriptions and Job Proficiency documents.
?Responsible for administering Performance Appraisal process, including payroll changes status.
?Assist in policy review, including recommending policy changes and communication of changes.
?Employee Handbook orientation for new employees.
?Interpret and apply Labor Laws.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
?Data analysis and recommendation for areas of responsibility.
?Required to stay abreast and informed of legislation affecting areas of Human Resources.
?Act as the Communication Czar for all employees at all facilities.
?Responsible for implementation and maintenance of VISA and immigration documentation.
Represent the company in unemployment processes and hearings.
?Assist HR Director on organizational effectiveness initiatives.
?Responsible for Company Newsletter.
?Manage I-9 processes and procedures.
?New employee processing.
?Process status and payroll changes.
?Create new hire paperwork.
?Build and maintain positive relationships with employees. Establish employee trust to help solve issues.
?Work effectively as a team member with members of management and the human resources staff.

GENERAL HUMAN RESOURCES
?Responsible for HR Business Plan objectives, as assigned, including assigned budget items.
?Multi-site responsibility.
?Maintain and update organizational charts on a quarterly basis.
?Design, prepare and make available company brochures.
?Order office supplies for the HR Department.
?Filing and documentation maintenance.
?Follow UCC Quality System approved work instructions and procedures and help improve these as needed.
?Responsible for successful facilitation of all company safety policies and procedures.
?Participate in company training seminars as offered.
?Attend and participate in company meetings as designated.
?Responsible for cleanliness of work area.

Requirements: Preferred Educational/Training/Knowledge:
?College degree preferred.
?Ability to work independently, to organize, take initiative and exercise sound judgment.
?Must possess good written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
?Professional attitude and ability to respond to changing priorities of the business.
?Possess cultural awareness.
?Ability to handle confidential materials and information.
?Strong computer skills.
?Willing to travel.
